we have finally figured out there is a problem of some kind with the html code. If you go back to the site and save it as a picture, a jpg file, then use the picture gadgetto add it to your blog, it will show all the time. I did it to mine and now it's there!
the avatar IS there...but it will not show sometimes...not sure why? it is doing it to my old blog and all new blogs as well!

Mine did the same thing. I got frustrated and clicked off of it--when I came back it was there!!!!
